Valerie McCann is a performing artist, collaborator, educator and embodied researcher. Her practice is rooted in somatic inquiry, relationality, and the wonder of phenomenology. As a performer and collaborator, she works across traditional theatre, postmodern dance and performance art disciplines. As a movement specialist, she works with individuals, ensembles and institutions of higher education. Her interest lies in the meeting of rigour and reality, where methodology can be reimagined when unique bodyminds come together to create new experiential possibilites.
