Performance Bio

I began working professionally as a child actor in regional repertory theatre, and went on to pursue undergraduate training in acting, voice and dance. I have since worked in devised/laboratory theatre ensemble and art contexts as a performer.

I also enjoy working as an assistant director, rehearsal director and dramaturg. I collaborate with directors and ensembles to create and contextualize movement and uphold the integrity of established scoring, choreography and stage direction whilst supporting the individual bodies inhabiting the performance structure. Dramaturgically I help ensembles find the link from research to action

My solo compositions draw upon a broad range of influences, from classical literature to oblique strategies and theoretical physics. I employ rigorous technique and precise scoring within time and space responsive performances that include original and found text, music and movement. My solo practice is inspired and informed by the work of my teachers Deborah Hay and Mary Overlie.
